Conceptual Exhibition Description EAST/WEST – Parallel Worlds in Music Design This exhibition takes a close look at the interesting overlap of Hip Hop and K-Pop music and shows how each carefully builds its own world and identity, mainly through visual design. It stresses how the same principles have been used by these musical styles in designing album artwork, distinctive typography, motion graphics, and defining the style of clothing. What is clear from the exhibit is how each of these cultures' music genres is deeply engaged with innovation and self-expression and how they share this passion through their visual expression, although quite different in composition and storytelling.
